How we structure a one-page donor summary

A layout pattern that fits beside a gift proposal without competing with the ask itself.

Single-page printed summary with a small chart and short paragraphs

A one-page donor summary is not a miniature annual report. Its job is to sit beside a conversation: what changed this year, where the gift would land, and how you will report back.

We divide the page into four bands. The top band names the program in plain language. The second holds one chart and one comparison sentence. The third lists two concrete uses of funds. The fourth states the follow-up rhythm—quarterly note, site visit, or year-end letter.

Avoid stuffing QR codes, partner logos, and a second chart onto the same sheet. White space is part of the argument; it signals that you are not hiding weak numbers behind decoration.

Print on a paper weight your solicitor can hand across a table without curling. We usually specify a soft-white stock that photographs well if the donor later shares a phone snapshot with a colleague.
